Art and Soul, Portland, Oregon, October, 2009 (Cancelled but may be rescheduled at a later date'}

My workshop will be an introduction to paper lovers on my unique ways of sewing paper.  The class will concentrate on Japanese papers and their sources and learn why I think they are the best and see many examples of papers that I have collected over the past 20 years.  I will provide a list of paper stores around the world that I have purchased from as well as direct contact information for several artists.

Secondly we will explore alternatives to manufactured papers and start making our own decorated papers.  This is NOT a papermaking course, it is more of an exploration in unusual techniques faux finishing in metallic layers, pastepaper textures, gold leafing.

WORKSHOPS AVAILABLE FOR GROUPS OF 6 - 10 ON Japanese papers and sewing quilts, and silk chenille jackets and scarves.  Contact Lucinda
